No problem, you can still apply for a full-time course starting in September
Â
We’re unsure of what the Welsh Government’s Covid secure regulations for September 2021 will be but we really hope that all restrictions will be lifted.
As your start date gets nearer and we have the latest guidance from Welsh Government, we will make sure that you are kept up to date. Rest assured, your safety will be our main priority.
This depends on your course. On most of our full-time courses, you can expect to be in College for 3 or 4 days per week.
Learners on Apprenticeship programmes may have to attend weekly to complete academic programmes or you may be asked to come in to complete essential skills courses. Your Assessor will give you details of your programme.
Part time learners will receive information from the College on your course day, time and location.
There is lots of support you can access. From learning support for help with College work to financial support (EMA grant, WGLG grant, Financial contingency Fund). We also offer a wide range of pastoral support from Student Services, the Trac Team, Counsellors and the Chaplain, studentservices@cambria.ac.uk or speak to us via our live chat on our website to get advice and guidance.
Yes! We can enrol students from any area. The College has an extensive transport network that covers most areas where our students live plus public transport links are also good, so getting to the College is easy.
For more information on our transport network, please email studentservices@cambria.ac.uk.
It is possible for you to re-sit English and Maths GCSE, alongside your course. But you will still need to meet the entry requirements of your course at College before you start it. Speak to studentservices@cambria.ac.uk if you need further guidance on this matter.
Yes, you can change your mind.
Please email admissions@cambria.ac.uk with your full name, date of birth and also the course/A-level subjects you would now like to study. We can then look into this for you.
You can also change your mind once you start your course. Within the first couple of weeks, there may be an opportunity to swap courses/A-level subjects if there is space on the course you want to move to.
Please note: by changing courses you may be subject to different entry conditions.
You will receive your exact timetable during your induction. We will email and text you with information on when your first day and induction will be.
We’d love to be able to get your exact timetable to you sooner as we know this impacts on part-work patterns and childcare arrangements. However, unfortunately, until we’ve moved through the enrolment period in August, we are unable to give accurate information due to the number of ever-changing factors. We hope you can understand this.
You will be sent your start date after you’ve confirmed your place and then again the week before your start with us. For information on how to confirm your place, please visit the Confirm your Place section of the New Student Portal.
Learners on Apprenticeship Programmes will be sent their start date when they enrol. If you have not received your start date, please email employers@cambria.ac.uk
Worries over money and finance shouldn’t stop you from coming to College or doing an Apprenticeship Programme. We have several financial support packages available to you. Find out more by visiting the Financial Support section of your New Student Portal.
Apprentices and employers of apprentices could access different funds that can support them. Please email employers@cambria.ac.uk for more information.
You should have received a link to send us a photo for your ID card.
We will start to post out IDs cards and lanyards from the week commencing 12th July. Please remember to wear this on our first day and at all times while you are on a College site.
If you have not had your photo request email, please email welcome@cambria.ac.uk as soon as possible and the team will be happy to update your details.
